With infrared cameras and a pinless moisture meter, non-invasive water leak detection can usually be done in under an hour. Water leaks often do not show inside the building near where the leak originates and are easy to miss. Before infrared cameras, we would have to remove the sheetrock and other wall coverings to expose where the water was heading. Sometimes we would even need to remove large areas of wall or ceiling coverings to find the water leak, causing stress on the home or business owner. This exploratory destruction and its repairs would result in longer repair times at a higher expense. Now, with the help of infrared cameras, we can follow leaks to their source without unnecessary construction work.
